Prom Pop-Up Shop & Giveaway (April 2025): 

The Uplift Our Local Community Committee hosted a Prom Pop-Up Shop & Giveaway, collecting and distributing more than 100 prom dresses, and providing shoes, jewelry, and accessories. Six young women received the full “Pink Glove Treatment,” providing them with a complete prom experience for their 2025 celebrations. In partnership with Cleveland PEARLS – Say Yes to the Dress, we distributed the remaining dresses to students in the community. The event reflected our continued commitment to uplifting local youth and supporting memorable milestones.  

Soaring to Greater Heights Community Wellness Expo (January 2026): 

We proudly hosted the Soaring to Greater Heights Community Wellness Expo on January 17, 2026, in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “We Are One” Day of Service. The event brought the community together for a day focused on unity, service, and wellness. Attendees benefited from health screenings, financial wellness resources, caregiver support, stress relief activities, and service projects, while also enjoying food from Juicy Vegan and access to free clothing. We extend Pink Tea Roses to Chairman Valissa Turner Howard, Co-Chairman Betty Strode Jordan, and the MLK "We Are One" Day of Service Committee for their leadership in making the event a success.

Region-Wide Tree Planting Day of Service (April 2025):

We proudly participated in the Great Lakes Region’s 3rd Annual Regional Day of Service. In partnership with the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park, members planted trees at Brooklyn Heights Cemetery and assisted in beautifying the surrounding grounds. The experience also provided an opportunity to learn about the important role trees play in maintaining a healthy environment. We remain committed to advancing our mission to Enhance Our Environment through meaningful service in the community.
